From Cheryl’s Garden: I Love Japanese Maples!

Japanese Maples are one of my favorite plants.  The texture, colors and form are a unique addition to your garden.  When selecting one, keep in mind the height and width as there is a range of sizes.  They also need to be planted in a protected location away from winds and the hot sun.  Here are some pictures from my collection.

Please Note: Availability varies at each of The Wreath Factory locations..

This is my newest addition to the garden.  Acer palmatum ‘Shirazz’.  I love the  multi-colored leaves.

The fine lace like leaves are beautiful  of the Acer palmatum var. dissectum  ‘Tamukeyama’.  This cultivar is one of the oldest dating back to 1710.  The cascading form looks great draping over rocks.

Acer palmatum ‘Peaches and Cream’ has unusual cream colored leaves with green highlights.  The tips are a pale rose color.

Acer palmatum ‘Fireglow’ has leaves that “glow” in the sunlight.

Acer shirasawanum ‘Autumn Moon’ has great orange/red fall color.

Which one is your favorite?  How many do you have?
